The Scottish Government has come under fire for completely failing to mention Christmas in its “Winter Festivals” programme.Christian Institute
In an official news release the Government mentions St Andrew’s Day eleven times, Hogmanay five times and Burns Night several times. But Christmas is not mentioned at all.
But Bashir Mann, a prominent figure in Glasgow’s Muslim community, has criticised the omission of Christmas, saying: “This is political correctness gone mad.

“Why should we be offended? Scotland’s religious population is 98 per cent Christian. Why should they not be allowed to celebrate their biggest religious festival?
“If my neighbour is celebrating Christmas, then I should join him. That’s what my religion tells me.”
And John Deighan, parliamentary officer for the Roman Catholic Church of Scotland, described the omission as “disappointing and hurtful”.
Season
A press release to promote the “Winter Festivals” reads: “The season of celebrations to mark Scotland’s distinct culture, unique heritage and creativity runs from St Andrew’s Day on November 30 through Hogmanay to Burns Season at the end of January and will bring together lovers of all things Scottish from across the globe.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Government said: “Christmas is a key celebration for families and communities.
“The Winter Festivals package includes events funded by the Scottish Government to help promote visitor attractions between St Andrew’s Day and Burns Night.”

Earlier this month the daughter of Thomas the Tank Engine’s creator criticised “political correctness against Christian belief” after references to Christmas were left out of an episode.
In the offending episode, entitled Keeping Up With James, the trains compete to deliver presents to children but Christmas has been rebranded as “the winter holidays”.
Last year it emerged that more than three million school diaries with no reference to Christmas or Easter had been issued by the EU Commission.
The diaries did make reference to Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Chinese festivities, as well as Europe Day.

Politicians Lie About Cause of Increase in Tuberculosis
Levels of tuberculosis are continuing to rise in Britain, but politically correct doctors and politicians still refuse to admit the proven link between increasing disease rates and mass immigration.
Cases of the deadly illness have risen by almost twenty percent in Britain during the last decade, and, according to the British Medical Association’s respiratory health journal ‘Thorax’, 70 percent of the cases occur in people not born in the UK.
The latest figures released for Scotland show a rate of nearly one new case a day since the beginning of 2011, but Scottish doctors are still too afraid to point to the true origin of the spread of the infection.
Dr Andrew Peacock, a respiratory ‘expert’ at Glasgow University, said: ‘In London, the situation is linked to immigration, but we don’t think that is the case in Glasgow.
‘It can also be linked to countries with a high incidence of HIV such as Africa, but Glasgow has low levels of African migration. If cases have risen it suggests there is something else going on.’
However, the Scottish Government’s ‘A TB Action Plan for Scotland’ report, published last week, shows that 47 percent of cases in Scotland involved people who were born outside of the UK. Of those born abroad, 31 percent were born in India, and 28 percent were born in Pakistan, while Nigeria and Nepal each accounted for four percent of the cases.
Despite its own findings, the Government’s so-called Action Plan says that is ‘naïve’ to blame rising levels of TB on immigration, although later admitting in the same report that ‘The main risk factor for TB infection in Scotland is being non-UK born.’
Dr Peacock’s reference to Africa also ignores the fact that Asian countries have some of the highest incident rates of TB in the world, explaining the prolific amount of TB carriers in Scotland.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), South East Asia alone accounts for 55 percent of cases of the disease worldwide. The highest incident rate is in India, which had 1.6–2.4 million cases in 2009, followed by China with 1.1–1.5 million. Other Asian countries with significantly high levels of TB include Indonesia (6th highest in world), Pakistan (7th highest) and Bangladesh (8th highest), according to the WHO’s figures. Nearly all Asian countries are classified as ‘high incident rate’ countries, having 40 or more cases of TB per every 100,000 people.
Of course this huge elephant in the room was only given passing mention by SNP Public Health Minister Shona Robison on the report’s publication, who cited ‘the emergence of drug-resistant strains’ and ‘the continued prevalence of HIV’ for the fact that TB is no longer a ‘disease of yesteryear’. Instead she only misleadingly referred to immigration as the ‘increased movement of people between countries’, rather than the increased movement of Third Worlders into Scotland, as an auxiliary cause.
Ironically, the world's first effective drug treatment for TB was developed by a group of Edinburgh pioneers led by the world-renowned physician Sir John Crofton. His work is credited with saving more than ten million lives; however, the Scottish government’s current obsession with political correctness is endangering its people rather than saving them.

Muslim Successfully Destroys Police Officer's Career But Wants More
Last year police officer Gavin Ross was convicted of "a race hate" crime and fined £500 for jocularly calling Sergeant Amar Shakoor, his Muslim colleague, "a fucking Muslim bastard" after the Muslim had made a joke about him.
Today, the Herald reports, the police officer was allowed to keep his job but forfeited a pay rise he would otherwise have received. His career has been destroyed. Even if he has kept his job, he will be denied promotion in future based on what has happened. But the Muslim "victim" isn't happy:
Nor are his fellow Muslim agitators. The news is said to have "reverberated around Glasgow’s Muslim communities yesterday." One of the Muslim infiltrators within the SNP even pitched in:
Notice how the Muslim gloats about how dominant politically correct thinking is within Strathclyde Police. We saw evidence of that recently when the first priority of the Chief Superintendent whose officers had just arrested a dangerous Muslim terrorist who had plotted to murder non-Muslims was to reassure ... the Muslims. Ironically, indeed, the "race hate crime" between the two police officers occurred while they were attending a "diversity training course". It is shocking that at a time of straitened public finances, taxpayer money is being wasted on this folly.
There are also other issues to be considered here. Islam is not a race. So why was Gavin Ross convicted of "behaving in a racially-aggravated manner" for calling him a "Muslim bastard"? This "bracket creep" that we see in the extension of the concept of race is simply not acceptable. In the run-up to the war in Iraq, a protester was charged with a race-related crime for holding up an anti-American banner. Islam is an ideology people choose to embrace. It is not a fact of birth. We must be free to robustly critique ideologies like Marxism, Nazism or Islam.
A second issue here is the disproportionality. A man has been convicted of a crime for jokingly calling someone else a name. Almost every male in Glasgow will have been called a "fucking Fenian bastard" or a "fucking Proddie bastard" at one time or another, and often not in a spirit of jest. This is sectarian abuse - no different from what happened to the Muslim. "Fenian" or "Proddie" are references to religion just as "Muslim" is. Yet those other instances do not result in prosecutions.
Only when you call a Muslim a name do you get prosecuted. So, it seems, Muslims have a special protected status, higher than the rest of us. This, indeed, represents the de facto establishment of the conditions of sharia law and the status of dhimmitude in which the non-Muslim dhimmis live under Muslim rule, yet are forced to accept an array of conditions giving them second-class status, including a prohibition on cursing Muslims.
Should all of the "Fenian" and "Proddie" name-calling result in prosecutions too to create balance? Of course not. It would be impractical and a vast waste of public resources. People should grow up and learn to accept the little blows life deals them instead of nurturing a sense of narcisstic victimhood - something the Muslims seem to be world champions in.
